This instrument is Terry's Terry Phantom early model, a special custom-made model manufactured in 1991, shortly after the company's founding.
The serial number is No. 18. It's a model with a younger number than Mr. Yosui Inoue's No. 20 or Mr. Konosuke Sakazaki's No. 21.
The TJ type specification represents T'sT's standard shape. This premium specification features intricate inlays, binding, and trim, setting it apart from the regular spec.
Compared to recent production models, the wood's aged feel and light touch response stand out, offering a very authentic acoustic instrument feel.
The ultra-thin paint has developed a slight patina from exposure, and the faint weathering marks lend it a sense of character.

This unit is also a Terry's Terry Phantom early model, a special custom-made model manufactured in 1991.
Serial No. 29 is a surprise. It's a young instrument standing alongside the beloved guitars of Japan's renowned T'sT-loving guitarists.
A rare small-body specification reminiscent of the Martin 000, unusual for T'sT. A valuable specimen that conveys the flexibility of custom-made instruments from that era.
The touch response is exceptionally light. The speed of touch, achieved through T'sT's craftsmanship, combined with the small-sized body, results in superb sound projection. Every frequency band comes through richly and sharply. While its familiarity during fingerpicking is a given, its volume during strumming delivers a presence beyond what its size suggests. Its wide range of capabilities truly shines.

The pinnacle model of its era, featuring luxurious headstock inlays and a single-piece Brazilian rosewood top with exquisite, undulating grain! The leather label bears the signature of Terry Nakamoto, now the head of Terry's Terrey (T'sT)! This clearly shows it was Yamaha's highest-grade model at the time!

Now, this might sound a bit sleazy, but manufacturers typically sign endorsement deals with professional musicians. The musicians receive instruments under favorable terms outlined in the contract and get them maintained in perfect condition for recording sessions and live performances. In exchange, the manufacturer gains significant advertising exposure whenever the musician appears in magazines, on TV, on CD jackets, or in music videos—their instruments are always featured. This creates a powerful advertising effect. People see the musician using it and think, "I want the same instrument that musician uses!" That kind of effect is also expected.

But! There's no such thing as an endorsement for Terry Nakamoto's guitar!
People trust Terry Nakamoto, they trust Terry Nakamoto's guitars, and that trust is the driving force behind so many people choosing this instrument.
To put it bluntly, even musicians with endorsement deals buy Terry Nakamoto's guitars! Of course, they can't advertise it publicly, but many use them quite frequently in songwriting and recording sessions.

Here lies the gateway to a special timeline that flows for those who truly love music and instruments—a realm distinct from fleeting trends in music or manufacturers.
This is the responsibility of a shop that handles used and vintage instruments.
TCGAKKIWe will continue to strive to introduce as many of Terry Nakamoto's works as possible to everyone.
