While natural colors are the standard for Martin guitars, around 1930, Shade Top coloring was offered as an option. This particular unit is a D-45 that I ordered in a Shade color.
While abalone shell is typically used for the hexagon inlays on the fretboard, this particular instrument uses mother-of-pearl. The combination of ebony and white gives a chic impression.
A wiring clip can be seen near the right-hand constriction inside the body. This suggests that it previously had a pickup installed.
The neck heel shows no signs of added end pins, preserving its original condition.
The endpin hole on this instrument has a diameter of 10mm, compared to the original 7.7mm, suggesting that it has been enlarged. However, since there is no evidence of expansion on the end block, I suspect it was not for the purpose of adding an output jack, but rather to ensure the strength of the end pin.
[Comment from the person in charge: Hoshino]
In addition to its vibrant appearance, the warm colors give it an impression that enhances its luxuriousness. The smooth sustain and the rich, resonant sound of each note are qualities that only the Martin D-45 can offer. The appeal of the D-45 isTCGAKKIIt's featured in the instrument magazine, so please check it out.
