⬇️A Deep Dive into the History and Complete Overview of Gibson's Rare Colors!!

=============================================================
This is a late 1960s model from the Kalamazoo factory, where Gibson acoustic guitars were also produced.
Epiphone / FT-79 Cherry Red
This particular model features the rare "Cherry Red" finish, which, like Gibson, was produced in very limited quantities for just three years between 1967 and 1969.
Today, you can see that each Cherry Red guitar has its own unique character, as they fade differently over time.
I believe it is a wonderful color that allows you to sense the history each individual guitar has carried with it.
This particular guitar boasts a beautiful pale reddish-brown hue, with a lustrous sheen and a subtle depth that gives it a dignified presence—truly a masterpiece.

With its screw-mounted pickguard, upper-bar adjustable bridge, wood saddle, and being from the final production run of the round-shoulder model, this is a truly rare instrument.

I happened to have a J-45 Cherry Red from the same year on hand, so I compared them.
it’s truly fascinating that, despite being made in the same factory with the same wood materials and virtually identical designs, the tone differs from that of a Gibson from the same era.

Of course, the longer scale length compared to the J-45 is a major factor, but this particular instrument is characterized by a tone that is somehow rustic and woody. That said, you can still enjoy a genuine vintage sound.
It’s a well-known story that The Beatles played “Yesterday”—arguably the most famous song featuring the Texan—in a full-step-down tuning, and when you play a G chord on this guitar in full-step-down tuning, you can truly experience “that” sound.
Epiphone remains an indispensable brand supporting acoustic guitarists worldwide, and the spirit of New York’s craftsmen lives on.
It is a truly rare opportunity to experience a page from that history firsthand.
