Commonly known as “rare colors,” these non-catalog finishes have been appearing since around 1968.
This black LG-1 is a truly stylish instrument. Its tone is characterized by a perfect balance between the airy sound of
ladder bracing and the clean, crisp tone produced by the adjustable saddle.

- This guitar exudes a dignified presence thanks to the scratches, dents, and weather checking that have developed over time.
- Not only is it crack-free, but it’s also in pristine condition with no added strap pins.
- The fact that the screw holes for the endpin are filled with black paint suggests it has been refinished.
However, it is entirely possible that this refinish was performed at the Gibson factory (factory refinish).
[Playing Condition]
- There are no muffled tones or buzzing, and it plays very well.
- String action at the 12th fret: 2.4 mm on the 6th string side, 2.1 mm
on the 1st string side. - String action can be adjusted up or down using the adjustable saddle.
