Gibson / 1951 J-50
It debuted in 1942 as the J-45 in a natural color.
This model later became highly popular after being used by artists such as Bob Dylan and Davy Graham.
This particular unit was produced in 1951, nine years after its initial release.
- Natural color finish
The J-45, a representative of the round-shoulder style, was only available in sunburst color at the time, and cherry sunburst was introduced in 1961. So, with essentially only one color available, the J-50, which featured a round shoulder design in a natural color, was produced.
The top wood is spruce.
The sides and back are made of mahogany and are finished in a brown color to match the top.
The small pickguard has the same specifications as the J-45.

The rosewood bridge on the upper belly is fitted with a long saddle, suggesting that the basic specifications are similar to those of the J-45.

- There are two repaired cracks on the right side of the body back.
