🔽~Always by the musician's side~ The History of the J-50, the "Good Partner"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gibson / 1951 J-50
In 1942, the J-50 joined the lineup as the natural finish version of the J-45.
While the J-45 enjoys enduring popularity, the J-50 also gained prominence through use by artists like Bob Dylan and James Taylor.
Sharing the same specs as the J-45, it offers distinct charm through the finer grain of its spruce top and differences in the sides/back.
—Naturally colored round shoulder
The 16-inch round-shoulder body, identical to the J-45, features a natural finish.
Unlike sunburst finishes, it exudes a premium look.

The pickguard features a distinctive reddish small pickguard, characteristic of the 1951 model.

Mahogany is used for the sides and back, finished in a subdued brown to complement the natural color.

The fingerboard is rosewood, featuring dot position markers like the J-45.

The neck is mahogany with a comfortably substantial neck profile.

A rosewood upper bout bridge with a long saddle is characteristic of this period.

The headstock features the gold Gibson modern logo.

KLUSON flat-plate tuning machines are fitted.

The natural-colored round-shoulder body offers a distinct sense of specialness, and J-50s with a small pickguard and long saddle specification are quite rare on the market.
Furthermore, this is a top-condition instrument with every part remaining fully original.
