[Features]
The quintessential Vincent Bach C-tube trumpet, featuring a 229 bell, 25H mouthpipe, and L-bore specification. Even today, when the range of C-tube trumpet options has greatly expanded, this remains a classic model widely used by orchestra musicians around the world. The richness and brilliance produced by the 229 bell, combined with the abundant airflow provided by the 25H mouthpipe and large bore, allow it to handle a wide range of musical demands—from the power required in an orchestra to the most delicate expressions.
A key feature of this instrument is its lacquer finish, which is relatively rare in Japan. When it comes to the 229/25H model, one almost exclusively encounters silver-plated versions, and their rich resonance and ability to blend seamlessly into an ensemble are widely recognized. In contrast, the lacquer finish allows for smoother airflow and more agile articulation. The contours of the sound emerge with clarity, resulting in a well-defined, uniform, and clear tone.
Furthermore, this instrument was manufactured in 1977. It is a so-called “semi-early Elkheart” period piece, featuring the “CORPORATION” engraving on the bell flare. This is a rare specimen that allows you to experience a 1970s Bach—whose reputation has been growing internationally in recent years—in the scarce lacquer finish. You can simultaneously experience the charm of a different era from the current 229/25H model and the quintessential sound of an orchestral C-tube.
