The Gibson "Victory" series was introduced in 1981.
While it has a headstock reminiscent of the Thunderbird, it retains traditional Gibson features such as a deep, asymmetrical cutaway and a 24-fret fingerboard.BassThis model was created with a groundbreaking design that completely reinvents the brand's image.
This 1982 model is a Victory Standard with a single pickup.
Unlike the Victory Artist, which was released around the same time, this model is passive.
The controls consist of volume, tone, and a series/parallel connection switch.
The maple body, weighing over 5kg, and the boldly slanted pickups produce a tight and powerful sound.
The series/parallel switching is very user-friendly; you can use series when you want to get the powerful sound of PB or MM pickups, and parallel when you want to add definition and a more refined sound.
Judging from the paint peeling and cracks on the body, it appears that quite a few years have passed since it was refinished.
This guitar combines a unique and rugged design with the ease of use that only a passive guitar can offer!
