Tune is used by renowned artists such as Yoshihiro Naruse and Shunka of Onmyoza. The TWB model we’ve just received is one of Tune’s flagship models. Its uniquely curved body offers excellent balance, accommodates a wide range of playing styles, and makes it easy to reach the higher frets.
The body features a beautiful, deep blue-green finish that really makes the flame maple top stand out. It’s equipped with a GZP-2 preamp, offering controls for master volume, pickup balancer, and a 3-band EQ (treble, bass, and midrange).Additionally, the two mini-switches are 2-way switches; while I can only speculate without detailed information, they are likely switches for toggling each pickup between series and parallel configurations, and a balancer-through switch (which outputs both pickups in series). Opening the back panel reveals mini-trims that allow you to control the gain and notch filters for each pickup.
With its clear tone, responsive EQ, and mini trims, this guitar offers an incredibly wide range of sound-shaping possibilities. While it shows signs of use—such as peeling logo, scratches, and dents—it delivers a fast-responding, crisp sound, making it the perfect choice for technical playing!
