The Asturias flagship model, "Tree of Life," is crafted by a group of artisans in a workshop in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, a sacred place for guitar making in Japan.
The master craftsmen of Asturias assemble their instruments in an environment far removed from mass production, carefully considering the unique characteristics of each individual piece of wood.
The "Tree of Life" inlay work, which is beautifully and evenly applied across the entire fretboard and is a symbol of this model, as well as the exquisite beauty of the carefully selected Mexican abalone decorations embedded without a single flaw from the headstock to the body purfling and rosette, are truly the culmination of overwhelming woodworking techniques that are comparable to those found in traditional Japanese crafts.
Thanks to the unique expertise Asturias has cultivated, the sound emanating from the meticulously and carefully tuned top wood is so rich and full-bodied that it leaves anyone speechless the moment they strum the strings.
The high frequencies are rich in pleasant, vibrant overtones, yet the sound never becomes disjointed. Each individual note has a core to it, resonating deeply with an astonishing sustain.
