This is the original Tone Bender MK3 from SOLASOUND in the UK!
This is the MK3 (or MK4) version of the British Sola Sound Tone Bender, produced from around 1968 through the 1970s. Although this unit lacks a printed name, it's a product under their own brand, "Colorsound," and is also used by many other OEMs, including Vox, Park, and Carlsbro. The previous version, the MK2, features a rugged hammered gray body, reimagined with a pop illustration on its pressed steel case. The MK3 adds a new treble/bass control in addition to fuzz and volume controls. Compared to the MK2's rough, fuzz-like sound, this one delivers a finely saturating, high-gain distortion. It has a rougher distortion feel reminiscent of the E/H Big Muff π. Turning the treble/bass knob to the left produces a bright tone with low cut, while turning it to the right produces a fat tone with rich lows, offering a wide range of sound creation options. The FUZZ knob is at maximum when turned all the way counterclockwise, and distortion suddenly becomes intense from about the 8th position. You can control the amount of distortion with the guitar volume, but it's not very responsive enough to instantly produce a brilliant clean sound.
