Arai Trading was founded in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, in 1956.
In 1960, Arai Trading launched "Aria" as its own brand.
"Aria" is a musical term meaning "chant" or "song."
The model we are introducing today is the SP-PRO CE from The Sandpiper series, which features artistic inlays on the soundhole and uses Brazilian rosewood for the sides and back.
Wood is used for the inlays on the headstock, fingerboard, and bridge sides, giving it a look that exudes a calm atmosphere yet elegant beauty.
This model features a solid cedar top, and as mentioned earlier, the sides and back are made of laminated Brazilian rosewood.
Compared to models with rosewood sides and back, this model adds a touch of sparkle and offers a distinct sense of string separation.
Its appeal lies in its comfortable feel when held, the cutaway design, and the excellent playability provided by the neck shape, which is designed for a secure grip.
What leaves a lasting impression is not only the soundhole design but also the high level of craftsmanship evident in the beautifully curved arched back.
The balance between the subtly adjusted curve and the body’s volume contributes to the Sandpiper’s transparent resonance.
It is equipped with a FISHMAN PREFIX Pro Blend pickup.
You can freely blend the clear piezo sound with the airy resonance produced by the condenser microphone.
This enables high-quality sound shaping.
