The sound is thick. I thought the sound would lean more toward the high end because of the ash image, but I felt a strong midrange pushout in all positions, from rear to front. The halftone also has a pleasant, chocolaty sound, and overall, I feel that the sound can be used in any position. It is hard to believe that you are holding it for the first time, and it feels so comfortable in your hand, which is the same with every Dover.
