Stradi Symphony VI

Have you ever thought, “I want to capture the rich, warm acoustic tone of a double bass with the excellent sustain and outstanding playability of an electric bass,” but found that standard hollow-body Basses lack the depth of natural resonance, or haven’t yet come across that special instrument with a design that truly feels like a work of art?

Stradi is an up-and-coming handmade brand crafted by the Polish genius luthier Marek Dąbek.

Combining exceptional woodworking skills with a refined aesthetic, his creations—which boldly fuse not only carefully selected tonewoods but also unconventional materials—are drawing intense attention from bassists and collectors worldwide. However, because each instrument is a handcrafted masterpiece created with heart and soul, opportunities to find them on the market are extremely rare. The chance to experience this fusion of true artistry and tone is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We are pleased to announce the arrival of the brand’s absolute flagship model, in which Stradi’s aesthetics and originality have culminated in their highest form: the Stradi Symphony. This instrument masterfully fuses the worlds of classic and modern at the highest level, boasting one-of-a-kind specifications that beautifully harmonize the traditional beauty of the double bass with the functional elegance of modern electric instruments.

It features an archtop structure with smooth, flowing curves and a hollow body that unleashes a rich acoustic resonance. This produces an organic, expansive sound reminiscent of a double bass, along with a tone that is endlessly deep and warm.

While rooted in the natural, sculptural beauty of the double bass, it masterfully balances the tight attack and rich sustain expected of an electric bass. Despite its original form, it delivers a sound with a solid core that powerfully supports the ensemble.

Exceptional instrument-making craftsmanship and refined design sensibility bring out the full texture of high-quality wood. It combines outstanding playability—feeling like a natural extension of your body the moment you pick it up—with a mesmerizing presence.

The flagship model, Symphony, condenses the aesthetics of the classical double bass with the playability of a modern electric bass into a single instrument. It is a supreme masterpiece that we wholeheartedly recommend to discerning bassists who seek “to produce a supremely airy tone in jazz and acoustic sessions” or “to acquire a top-tier, handmade bass with a unique, beautiful design that they can be proud of as a lifelong companion.”

A miraculous fusion of double bass and electric bass from Poland’s finest. Experience the exquisite tone and beautiful form that envelop you the moment you pick it up.
