This instrument is the StingRay EX model,
manufactured from the late 1990s through the early 2000s. It is part of a series that uses the same parts as the U.S.-made models but is assembled in Japan; while the lineup was priced lower than the U.S.-made versions at the time, it remains popular today thanks to its quality, which is on par with the U.S.-made models.
It features a sunburst finish, an alder body, and a rosewood fingerboard.
