Explanation
A lightweight instrument! A practical 5-string passive bass with a vintage look
[TMG Guitar] Paying homage to vintage guitars from the 1950s and ’60s, the company not only builds guitars but has also recently expanded its range to include electric basses. While retaining a vintage feel, its playability—which makes it easy to use in today’s music scene—has been embraced by musicians active on the front lines of the Japanese music scene.
This instrument is the “STETSON” model, a PB-style guitar. It’s a rare 5-string passive model in the PB style, equipped with Aguilar pickups.
The high-quality relic finish begins with natural yet bold cracks in the body’s paint, and the peeling finish on the back of the neck has a smooth texture that contributes to its playability.
Weighing just 3.95 kg—hard to believe for a 5-string bass—it’s incredibly lightweight and appealing! While vintage in style, it strikes an exquisite balance by incorporating modern elements such as the pickups and bridge, making it a model we can recommend to both vintage and modern enthusiasts alike.
