Selmer Paris made baritone saxophone, Serie 2 with engraved pattern. Gold plated neck. Clear lacquer finish. Comes with Selmer rubber mouthpiece D (*), ligature (without cap), and BAM case (missing BAM logo plate in the center of the front cover). 550,000 units. 1997. List price: 1,306,800 yen

Condition
Used for about 10 years. Paint is peeling on the 3rd and 4th pipes (upper part of the body). There are some scratches on the body, light lacquer paint removal, and discoloration of the lacquer paint. The instrument has been disassembled, cleaned inside and out, and overhauled by replacing all tampos (genuine CHANU metal booster), corks, and felts.

Features
The Selmer Serie 2 is a long-selling and popular model of baritone saxophone, and has a more robust and powerful sound compared to the current Jubilee series Serie 2. Although this model normally requires firm breath support, the gold-plated neck makes the sound less demanding and gives it a more agile response and better sound extraction. The resonance and balance from top to bottom are also excellent.
