Explanation
"I want absolute reliability—a guitar that stays perfectly in tune even when I’m hammering out intense, heavy 7-string riffs, playing sharp solos, or using aggressive whammy bar techniques." But aren’t you struggling with the fact that traditional 7-string guitars have thick necks that are hard to grip, and when you crank the gain, the low end gets muddy and gets lost in the band’s mix?
As the guitarist for the world-renowned alternative metal band In This Moment, Randy Weitzel continues to captivate audiences with his dark, beautiful, and overwhelmingly powerful sound.
To perfectly execute his heavy and technical playing style on stage, a guitar requires more than just seven strings—it needs deep, resonant bass tones, a neck design that’s comfortable to play, and a build that can withstand extreme playing. It’s no easy task to find a true, battle-tested instrument that combines uncompromising heaviness with playability.
Now in stock is the ultimate 7-string guitar, born from the fusion of the signature aesthetics that underpin the forefront of the modern metal scene and Schecter’s renowned craftsmanship. The Schecter Randy Weitzel Signature covers everything from heavy riffs to high-speed solos with unrestrained versatility. It condenses sophisticated specifications and rugged playability that transcend even alternative metal.
The body and neck are lavishly crafted from carefully selected mahogany. This design delivers the deep bass range unique to a 7-string, along with overwhelming thickness, body, and stability—even on the Low-B—as well as a warm, tight mid-low-end tone.
The pickups—EMG 707 and EMG 85-7, optimized for 7-string guitars—deliver a wide frequency range, low noise, and a superb heavy tone. Even when driven to high gain, the picking attack and the definition of each individual note remain crisp and distinct.
The tremolo unit features the trusted Floyd Rose. It maintains perfect pitch even during dive bombs and aggressive tremolo arm use, boasting exceptional tuning stability even during intense live performances.
It features a slim C-shape neck that’s easy to grip and doesn’t feel bulky despite being a 7-string. It supports comfortable fingering without straining your hand, even during fast phrases and complex chord work.
It’s not just for In This Moment fans—it’s a reliable partner for modern heavy rock guitarists who want to “strum down-tuned chords and the deep bass characteristic of 7-string guitars with a noise-free, overwhelmingly clear tone” or who are “looking for a ready-to-play 7-string guitar that stays in tune even with heavy tremolo arm use.”
Experience the ultimate 7-string low-end and exceptional playability that cuts through the alternative metal scene. Discover the unparalleled performance endorsed by Randy Weitzel.
