This is a rare, very early-production OD-1 featuring a Raytheon 3403 quad op-amp!!
Early OD-1 models featured a quad op-amp (a single chip containing four op-amps). While the RC3403ADB was used in the very earliest models and the NEC μPC4741C was used in units from lot #8400 to #8800, this unit features the former. The LED indicator is dedicated solely to the battery checker, differing from the specifications of the current BOSS Effector.Units equipped with the RC3403ADB are characterized by a somewhat tight low end, extended highs, and a crisp, bright sound. This is a rare piece that allows you to experience the original sound of the legendary OD-1!! The serial number of this unit is #6500, and it is believed to have been manufactured in December 1977.
