National / 1952 NEW YORKER LAP STEEL GUITAR
This National New Yorker lap steel guitar, a colorful symbol of the immediate postwar era, is not only visually impressive but also sounds very appealing.
The staircase-shaped wooden body and headstock have alternating black and white plastic overlays, creating an eye-catching design.
The transparent Lucite fingerboard is painted from the back and features white engraved fret lines and position marks marked with Roman numerals in various colors.
The headstock is covered in black celluloid and features an enameled national logo plate.
The volume control is located on the treble side top in front of the pickups, and the chicken-head type tone control located behind the bridge has three tone settings: "bass," "mellow," and "brilliant.
Since the original microphone jack is a standard not widely used today, we recommend that you consider changing to a phone jack (separate price quote is required).
A special plug and a hard case with looks similar to the original are included.
