This colorful National New Yorker lap steel guitar, emblematic of the immediate postwar era, is not only visually striking but also boasts a captivating sound.
The stepped wooden body and headstock feature alternating black and white plastic overlays, creating an eye-catching design.
The transparent Lucite fingerboard is back-painted and features white-carved fret lines and position marks indicated by Roman numerals in various colors.
The headstock, covered in black celluloid, features an enameled National logo plate.
The volume control is located on the treble side of the top, in front of the pickup, while the chicken-head tone control, positioned behind the bridge, offers three tone settings: "Bass," "Mellow," and "Brilliant."
Since the original microphone jack uses a standard that is rarely used today, we recommend considering a conversion to a phone jack (a separate quote is required).
A dedicated plug and a hard case with a look similar to the original are included.
