Momose is a Japanese handmade brand that combines vintage-like sound with modern playability. These custom, handmade Basses are crafted by skilled artisans under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Yasuo Momose, one of Japan’s leading guitar makers.
It features a traditional, ’60s-style configuration with an alder body and rosewood fingerboard. This model features the standard headstock shape, which is no longer in production. The logo is branded, indicating that this is an early-era instrument from the brand’s inception in the early 2000s.
Whether played fingerstyle or with a pick, it produces a rich, mid-range sound full of harmonics, offering a clear and well-defined attack while retaining that characteristic PB “fat” tone. This is a bass with a satisfying, solid attack!
*Both the neck and electronics have been serviced by our in-house technician and are in good condition. *String action is set to approximately 1.6 mm at the 12th fret. *Parts have been disassembled and cleaned.
