This special custom wah pedal utilizes the VOX V847-A enclosure. The sound is truly mellow . It features a super-multi-functional design emphasizing practicality, allowing control over INPUT gain adjustment, bass quantity, and Q variation. A wah we highly recommend for those who want to use it in real-world situations!

An extension of your fingertips, coloring the space.
The MELLOW WAH aims to be a tool for expressing the player's emotions more delicately and three-dimensionally. It's not a gimmick that asserts itself with extreme sound changes, but rather, like a bend, it directly reflects the performer's feelings into the sound. It's an envelope-like Wah that controls "atmosphere" rather than tone. It achieves a thicker, mellower sound with less distortion than typical Wahs.
It enables delicate expression during guitar solos, of course, but also allows for an "enveloping" expression unheard of in previous wahs. This is because it changes without losing the contour of the low end or the chordal character.
Circuit Approach
Now for some slightly geeky details. Skip ahead if you're not interested. Quick explanation coming (lol). Beyond the classic inductor-based Wah circuit, there are also op-amp-based Wah types. In terms of product stability (unit-to-unit variation) and cost, the op-amp method is overwhelmingly superior. During development, we initially considered the op-amp method for the MELLOW WAH, aiming for a sound with less distortion. However, we ultimately adopted the inductor-based circuit.This might sound vague, but the way the inductor-based circuit blurs the sound and changes when you press it down felt more musical to us. We chose an output buffer for two reasons: "to make it easier to match with the next piece of gear" and "to avoid phase inversion." This makes it incredibly easy to integrate the Wah into your setup during live performances.
