Merida / Match Box-EQ
Merida, which operates a factory in Jiangxi Province, China, is one of China’s largest musical instrument manufacturers.
With its original design and well-balanced construction, the Merida offers easy playability and a neck shape that fits comfortably in the hand. Above all, despite using premium woods such as European spruce and flamed maple, the gloss finish and attention to detail provide quality that exceeds its price point.
The model we’re introducing today is the Match Box.
The model name is derived from the “spark-like passion” embodied in a classic blues song.
It features a 630mm short scale Recruit.
It strikes a balance between slightly looser string tension and playability.
For the top, we’ve used Recruit trified European spruce, which has been heat-treated based on meticulous calculations to achieve the deep sound and dignified appearance of a vintage guitar.
The sides and back are crafted from solid Indian rosewood—a classic choice—carefully selected to ensure tonal stability and rich harmonics Recruit.
It offers the maneuverability unique to an auditorium-sized guitar, along with a powerful, resonant tone.
This instrument is designed to faithfully convey every nuance of the player’s emotion.
