Epiphone / 2023 Masterbilt Excellente FT120
The “FT-120 Excellente”—a legendary top-of-the-line model that, throughout Epiphone’s long history, has been considered the most luxurious, the most beautiful, and the most elusive

Fully revived in 2021 as part of the Masterbilt series—Epiphone’s premier line—using modern technology, this model is truly a dream instrument that masterfully blends historically significant artistic ornamentation, practicality suited for today’s performance environments, and the superb tone delivered by its all-solid-wood construction.
The original FT-120, introduced in 1963, is remembered as a legendary, rare model—only 141 were shipped worldwide during its brief production run of just seven years, ending in 1970.
We are proudly reissuing this model, which was cherished by only a select few top artists, including the “Queen of Country,” Loretta Lynn.
The first thing that catches your eye is its breathtaking aesthetic beauty, which sets it apart from any other guitar.
The eagle pickguard radiating powerful dignity at the center of the body, the mother-of-pearl cloud inlays vividly adorning the jet-black ebony fingerboard, and the gold waffle-back tuning pegs emanating an elegant glow on the back of the headstock.

Every detail embodies the prestige of a top-of-the-line instrument; simply placed on a stand in a room, it elegantly transforms the atmosphere, and every time you pick it up, it fills you with a deep sense of joy at owning it.
Of course, the true value of this guitar goes far beyond its beautiful appearance. For the top—the heart of the sound—we’ve used a carefully selected solid Sitka spruce top that produces powerful, rich vibrations.
For the sides and back, we’ve lavishly used high-quality solid Obanコール wood, which combines deep, resonant bass reminiscent of rosewood with clear, articulate highs.
Furthermore, a feature that modern players will appreciate is the practicality built into the design without compromising its beautiful vintage appearance. A Fishman Sonitone pickup system is installed along the inner edge of the soundhole.

Please play music with this acoustic guitar—a instrument that beautifully showcases the guitarist’s individuality.
