Martin / 2006 CTM D-28 TC
“A D-28 that’s a cut above the rest...”
The D-28, synonymous with the folk guitar, enjoyed immense popularity during the folk era and remains one of the most sought-after guitars on the vintage market.
The powerful tone emanating from its dreadnought body continues to shine in various music scenes even today.
—A custom model crafted using the same woods found in the 40-series.
The top is typically made from select Sitka spruce.

The sides and back feature straight-grained Indian rosewood.
The straight grain, a hallmark of Martin guitars, enhances the instrument’s beauty.
The back strip features a zigzag pattern.

The fingerboard is made of jet-black ebony and features shell dot position markers.

The neck is crafted from select hardwood and features a slim C-shape for a comfortable grip.
It also features the volute unique to the D-28.

The bridge, like the fingerboard, is made of ebony and is fitted with a short saddle.

The headstock, veneered with Indian rosewood, features a sharp headstock shape; while the standard model typically features a three-dimensional gold logo, the CTM model is distinguished by its vintage logo.

GROVER 102C tuning machines are used.
They allow for smooth tuning.

While this is a D-28 unique to the Martin Custom Shop, everything except the top wood remains true to the authentic D-28!
This is the perfect choice for those looking for a D-28 that’s a step above the standard model or for anyone who wants a Custom Shop Martin.
