194 D-45s were produced in 1973, and these are highly sought after because they generally used German spruce for the top wood.

The spruce used for the top wood is German spruce (also known as German pine), which originates from Germany in Europe.
The fine grain of the wood is beautiful.
This wood is a rare material used in the 40s series, and guitars made with this wood are extremely popular.
In addition to the cream-colored celluloid, the abalone shell purfling shines beautifully.
The rosette is also beautifully decorated with abalone shell.
The sides and back are made of straight-grained Indian rosewood.
While the type of rosewood used has been changed since the 1970s, the selection of wood with such a beautiful brown contrast that you wouldn't even notice the change is evident.
