Explanation
Martin / 1973 D-35
First introduced in 1965, the D-35 remains highly popular to this day. Unlike the D-38, it features subtle differences in details such as additional ornamentation and the arrangement of the wood.
—The rosewood sides and back feature a three-piece construction, with Indian rosewood used for the sides and back. Accordingly, the body features two internal braces.
— The top is crafted from spruce with a fine grain, and its slightly amber-colored finish evokes the distinctive vintage aesthetic. The Dreadnought body features multicolored inlays combining white and black celluloid.
—The ebony fingerboard features dot position markers. Additionally, white binding runs along the sides of the fingerboard, which is one of the distinguishing features of the D-35 when viewed from the front.
— The ebony Downberry bridge is fitted with short saddles. The bridge pins feature a white base with a dot. The patina that develops over time is simply irresistible.
—The mahogany neck features a soft V-shape with just the right amount of thickness; this thickness may be one of the factors contributing to its rich, full-bodied, and brilliant tone.
—The headstock, made of Indian rosewood veneer, has a slightly angular shape and features the Martin Classic logo.
— Tuning Machines: GROVER 102 tuners are used. The flat-head screws, characteristic of the 1970s, are a detail appreciated by connoisseurs.

With a brilliance distinct from the D-28 and a construction featuring three layers of straight-grained Indian rosewood, this guitar captivates players. We invite you to experience the unique charm that only the D-35 can offer.
