A new single soft case for one trumpet was released in 2019 (this model is not listed in the domestic catalog).It features a design that is lighter and more compact than conventional semi-hard cases. The difference from a standard soft case is that the base is semi-hard, while only the lid is soft. By using two materials with different levels of rigidity, this case achieves a balance of durability, lightness, and compactness.
The interior features rigid urethane padding to secure the instrument. The semi-hard outer frame provides solid protection for the bell, U-bend, and pistons.As for potential weaknesses compared to previous models, the number of support studs has been reduced from 4 to 3, resulting in slightly reduced stability when standing on its own, and the pockets are smaller. However, once you get used to using it, these points aren’t particularly bothersome, so we recommend this case even to those looking for a soft case that can be stored vertically. The interior space can accommodate a practice mute or mouthpiece pouch, and the exterior pocket can hold a few small items.It easily accommodates instruments with bell diameters of approximately 135 mm, as well as longer models like the CONN 38B.
