This is the legendary Maestro "Bass Brass Master" octave fuzz pedal for the Bass!
Produced in the early 1970s, the Bass Brass Master—as its name suggests—was apparently designed to reproduce the sound of brass instruments on the Bass. Its intense and unique sound has made it a coveted item among many fuzz enthusiasts, including professionals. The control panel features BRASS VOL. to adjust the fuzz volume, a BRASS 1-2 switch to select between two tone settings, SENSITIVITY to adjust the sensitivity, a HARMONIC 1-2 switch to select between two harmonic settings, and BASS VOL. to adjust the balance of the original signal. Of course, it can be used not only with the Bass but also with guitars and other instruments to create an intense sound. While it’s essentially a sub-octave fuzz, the only word to describe it is “roaring.” Its heavy, ground-shaking sound surges forward with overwhelming force. In a good way, its wildly unconventional sound—a far cry from the typical “brass” tone—has captured the hearts of many fuzz enthusiasts and won’t let go. I believe it’s in relatively good condition for a 1970s model. It’s a model that’s rarely seen on the market today and is extremely difficult to obtain; finding one in this condition might truly be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
