It also boasts unparalleled acoustic performance. The rich, full-bodied tone is produced by Ovation’s signature bowl-shaped construction. The rich, resonant tone produced by this unique bowl-shaped structure gives the instrument a strong presence even when played acoustically, despite its Electric Acoustic size. You might imagine a hard tone due to the thin body of the Super Shallow and the use of Lyrecord, but this model possesses power and volume that rival those of a standard acoustic guitar.
The system of the renowned "OP-24" preamp is simple yet exceptionally reliable. Its sound stands out without getting lost in a band ensemble, beautifully showcasing both the player and Ovation.
Upon arrival, the bass fader had come loose, so we have customized it in-house to ensure it functions properly.
There are scratches consistent with its age, and the soundhole decoration has developed fine cracks over time, but these do not affect its performance.
