YAMAHA / 1983 LA-27
“Have you been unable to find a guitar that fits your body?”
What you seek in a guitar is not just sound.
A fit that naturally becomes one with your body, a design that won’t tire you even during long performances.
And a one-of-a-kind sound packed with the charm only an instrument can have.
If even one of these is missing, it simply cannot be a guitar you’ll cherish for years.
YAMAHA’s LA-27 series is truly a single instrument that brings together the “ideal balance.”
YAMAHA focused on the needs of Japanese guitarists for “ease of play,” and
through exchanges with top domestic artists,
aimed for a guitar that is more comfortable and easier to play.
This is how the LA series was born.
Its shape is one size smaller than a dreadnought, with reduced body depth,
and is designed to fit the physique of Japanese players perfectly while emphasizing ease of holding.
What deserves special mention is how little fatigue it causes even after long hours of playing.
Whether performing many songs live or casually strumming at home,
its stress-free fit is part of its appeal.
Please experience the feeling of “you and the guitar becoming one.”
Not only does it fit the body comfortably, but the greatest appeal of the LA series also lies in its sound.
Each string is clearly separated, and strong resonance and beautiful sustain spread richly.
YAMAHA’s outstanding sound separation comes through clearly both when strumming chords
and when playing delicately with fingerpicking, delivering a satisfying resonance.
Especially remarkable is the excellent balance of the resonance.
Not only are the lows thick, but the mid and high ranges are also clear and powerful.
This tone is one reason it has been loved not only in Japan
but also by artists overseas.
However, unfortunately, the YAMAHA LA series is no longer in production,
and the number appearing on the market has grown smaller.
As a result, it has now become a valuable and hard-to-obtain model.
If you are looking for a long-term “partner” guitar,
the LA series, with its sound, playability, fit, and everything else, is the ideal choice.
Many artists have fallen in love with its sound; please experience for yourself the reason it has been cherished for so many years.
That resonance will surely support the next step in your music.
