G&L is a brand founded in 1980 by Leo Fender and George Fullerton. It is the manufacturer into which Leo Fender, the father of the electric guitar, poured his final technical expertise and experience.
Leo Fender developed the Precision, Jazz, Music Man, and Stingray, and by bringing this model to the world, we can see just how diverse the sound is, drawing on his years of experience.
This model is a USA-made L-2000. It features an ash body and a maple fingerboard. It features a 2-pickup system capable of handling any tone, with controls including Volume, Treble Cut, and Bass Cut, as well as three mini-switches: a pickup selector switch, a series/parallel switch, and a passive/active/treble boost switch. The EQ is set to flat when fully open and can be used even in passive mode.
Its core sound is clear and responsive, and it’s characterized by the ability to create highly aggressive tones—whether by using series wiring to add more body, or by using only the rear pickup for a tight sound. While evoking elements found in the Precision Bass, Jazz Bass, and Stingray, this Bass offers versatility and exceptional playability!
