Since then, Fender Japan has continued to produce high-quality instruments under the MIJ (Made in Japan) series at the parent company, and the Fender Japan brand has earned high acclaim as "Japan Vintage," enjoying popularity both domestically and internationally.

This model is part of the Standard Series, which was marketed as an entry-level line. It features a basswood body paired with a slab rosewood fingerboard.
It also features a design that allows for truss rod adjustment from the headstock.
