Explanation
A vintage guitar with plenty of presence! A 1974 Jazz guitar that perfectly balances thickness and clarity.Bass!
A 1974 Jazz Bass featuring the "white neck binding and block inlays" that are iconic of 1970s Fender guitars.BassThis model features an alder body and a four-bolt neck joint, representing the final period of the traditional specifications that have been carried over since the 1960s.
Regarding each part, the neck, pickups, and volume pot all show a 1974 date. Only the tone pot has been replaced, but most of the main parts are original to the time.
The paint is peeling, suggesting it has been played extensively for many years, and upon closer inspection, the black body is covered in weather checking. There are some dents and paint peeling on the back of the neck and the fretboard, but there are no rough spots that would catch on anything, and it does not affect playability.
This guitar is characterized by its thick neck, typical of guitars from this period, resulting in a full, rich sound. It delivers a solid, punchy bass, and while the maple fretboard provides definition and a bright, clear tone, it differs from the scooped midrange sound seen in later ash-bodied models, producing a well-balanced tone with a firm mid-low range.
This is a truly vintage instrument with a dignified presence, a reliable and immediately usable piece!
