A comprehensive analysis of Gibson J-45s from the 1940s to the 1960s. It’s truly the definitive guide to the J-45!

=============================================================
Gibson / J-45 Standard
The popular J-45 Standard with pickups is now in stock!
This is a vintage-style custom-built model!!
The top is made of AA-grade Sitka spruce, while the sides and back feature high-quality mahogany Recruit.
Equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element pickup, it retains the traditional J-45 sound while delivering the bright, clear tone characteristic of modern models.
Noteworthy features include the tuners and pickguard! While Grover tuners are typically used, these have been replaced with Waverly white-button open-back tuners.
The pickguard has also been replaced with one in the same shape as that used on the J-35, allowing you to enjoy a vintage-like look despite its standard design.
There are signs that the neck has been refinished, and the frets appear to have been replaced as well, so it’s likely that these customizations were made during the restoration process.
Although it’s a standard model, I recommend it for those who want something a little different!
