Guild / 1967 F-50R Brazilian Rosewood
The guitar I'm introducing today is a special one from Guild.
In the history of acoustic guitars, the Guild flagship "F-50R" continues to reign as one of the finest jumbo models, alongside Martin's D-28 and Gibson's J-200.

This is a supreme vintage piece, manufactured only between 1954 and 1969, featuring the finest solid Brazilian rosewood, also known as Jacaranda, used lavishly for the sides and back.
It possesses an overwhelming aura and unfathomable dignity that is clearly different from the Indian rosewood period that followed in 1970.

The moment you strum the chords, you'll be enveloped in an intensely immersive sonic space unlike anything you've ever experienced before.
The sheer volume of sound emanating from its massive 17-inch jumbo body will shake you to your core, like an earthquake.
Built upon Guild's signature rich bass foundation, this guitar features the clear and brilliant high frequencies characteristic of Brazilian rosewood, often referred to as a "bell-like ringing."
What's particularly noteworthy is the rugged, straightforward strength that's so characteristic of a guild.
Furthermore, you can feel the exquisite sustain that extends deeply, like that of a piano.
The luxurious block inlays combining mother-of-pearl and abalone, along with the gleaming G-Shield inlay on the headstock, exude an artistic beauty befitting a flagship model.

The weather checking and minor scratches that have accumulated over many years are evidence of the history this piece has lived through, and are the very essence of the unique character of a vintage item.
Using the rare and endangered Jacaranda wood, and infused with the passion of skilled craftsmen, this F-50R from this era continues to increase in value as a historical collector's item.
