(From the manufacturer's site)
Born in the 1960s and still beloved today, the fuzz pedal. Among them, the Triangle V1 First, considered one of the earliest models, was built using Parfboard (snake-eye board) and "Point To Point" wiring, connecting each component directly. It was highly unstable and artistic.
The "GRUFF V1" was developed by studying this Triangle V1 First and recreating its sound. The "GRUFF result" is the model developed using the findings from that research. RoShi Pedals thoroughly compared it with their own Triangle V1 First, repeated development, and released the "GRUFF V1".Historically, few pedals have been researched and designed to this extent based on the valuable Triangle V1 First. At least, I've never seen a pedal that sounds close to the unit I own.
The ADD CBF model is a version that adds Clean Blend and Clean LPF (low-pass filter). By blending the original sound with the GRUFF distortion, it creates a three-dimensional sound where the core remains even within the roar. It could be said to be the long-awaited fuzz pedal, especially for bassists.
< Control >
blend: Adjusts the balance between the Blacklon sound and the original signal.
c-lpf: The original signal's LPF (similar to the TONE function on a typical Effector). Adjusting this allows you to blend only the low-end components of the original signal.
c-vol: Adjusts the volume of the original sound.
(Regarding the GRUFF result)
Thoroughly researched the Triangle V1 First and meticulously selected every component to create this Triangle Muff clone—undoubtedly the pinnacle model!
Designed by Bob Meyer, an engineer at Electro-Harmonix led by Mike Matthews, the first BIG MUFF π was born in '71. Its knob layout earned it the nickname "Triangle Muff . " This model recreates the sound of the Triangle V1 First, representing the very earliest iteration of the "Triangle Muff . "
Never before has a pedal been researched and designed to this extent. Its powerful sound is a given, but the unique gritty texture of vintage pedals (something you simply can't achieve by assembling ordinary parts), combined with ample sustain and a sound that swells and saturates with harmonics, will captivate any fuzz enthusiast.
The mini switch functions as follows: left position is Triangle MODE, center is LOWCUT MODE, and right is +MID MODE. +MID MODE preserves the grit while adding high-mids, recreating a sound that stands out within a band ensemble.
Sano's recommended pedal! Experience this sound for yourself!!
※Right now, it comes with a collection card!! We asked" Seikatsu-san," known for their popular illustrations of girls with guitars, to draw GRUFF result's image character. Her nameis "Grau Girl" !
