Gibson Custom Shop / 2011 1960's J-45 Cherry
The Gibson J-45 debuted in 1954, and from 1960 onwards, it switched from the previous slotted saddle (fixed saddle) to an adjustable saddle as standard.
Around 1967, colors not listed in the catalog, such as ebony, cherry red, and brown, began to appear, becoming popular not only among players but also among collectors.
This product is a J-45 with a look that evokes the rare colors of that era.
- Vibrant cherry color
Unlike the more common vintage sunburst or tri-burst color schemes seen in modern guitars, this model features a vibrant cherry color.
The combination of the large white pickguard with the Gibson logo gives it a look reminiscent of a late 1960s model.
The rosewood bridge not only faithfully reproduces the fine details such as the adjustable saddle and triple KLUSON tuners, but it also embodies the unique charm of the J-45, including its distinctive airy sound, which can only be experienced with an adjustable saddle.
