Gibson / 1998 Blues King
The legendary L-00 made history as the trusted companion of blues musicians during the Great Depression of the 1930s. The Blues King faithfully inherits
that legacy and was reborn with a modern approach at Gibson’s Montana factory in the 1990s.
Its most distinctive feature is its compact, small-body design (L-00 style), which delivers that signature Gibson sound—raw, gritty, and full of attack.
Additionally, this model is designed with a slightly thinner body, making it exceptionally comfortable to hold as it nestles perfectly against your arm.
After nearly 30 years, the mahogany’s sound has matured into a crisp, dry tone that strikes a perfect balance between the percussive low end of fingerpicking and the crisp, bell-like ring of the high end.
This is a ready-to-play instrument that will serve as the perfect companion not only for the blues, but also for ragtime, classic folk songs, or even casual strumming in your living room.
