Gibson Custom Shop / 2015 1960s J-45 EB
[Staff Comment: Hoshino]

When it comes to black finishes from the 1960s, the 1968 off-catalog color (commonly known as a "rare color") comes to mind.
Unlike the traditional Sunburst and Cherry Sunburst finishes, this model features a monochrome color scheme that looks great paired with the white pickguard.
—Pickguard featuring the Gibson logo

A major feature is the Gibson logo designed on the thick, white large pickguard.
Since many J-45s from around 1968 feature this specification, I believe this one was likely Recruit as well.
- Two-ring rosette

The J-45, introduced in 1942, featured a single ring around the soundhole until 1961, but starting in 1962, an additional ring was added.
This is also a characteristic of the 1960s.
This model is equipped with an L.R. Baggs LYRIC, making it ideal for live performances and recording.
Why not grace the stage with this chic black finish?
