Gibson Custom Shop / 2012 1960s J-180 with FISHMAN Rare Earth Mic Blend
[Staff Comment: Inoue]

This 2012 Gibson 1960s J-180
features a striking double pickguard. Its design is reminiscent of its predecessor, the Gibson Everly Brothers—an artist model created in honor of the Everly Brothers (a country duo active in the 1950s and 1960s).
Production of the Everly Brothers model ceased in 1972, but it was revived as the J-180 in the late 1980s and went on to gain popularity.
The J-180 features a 16-inch body, making it slightly smaller than the J-200. This model is particularly striking thanks to its
distinctive double pickguard. In terms of
sound, it features a solid, rich bass response, well-balanced mids, and impressive definition and clarity.
The neck is wide but slightly thinner, offering a clean grip and making it easy to play.
This model is recommended for those seeking a powerful, thumping strumming sound. This version is equipped with a
FISHMAN Rare Earth Mic Blend, allowing it to be used as an Electric Acoustic guitar.
The black magnetic pickups complement the guitar’s design perfectly—don’t you think it looks cool? It’s a special instrument that’s sure to turn heads
on the live stage.

- There are signs of wear, such as fine play marks and scuffs, on the pickguard, the lower part of the body, and the front and back of the headstock.
- An additional strap pin has been added to the neck heel. - Pickups installed
. [Playing Condition]
