While Gibson guitars are known for their increasingly thinner neck grips starting in 1960, this particular instrument has a moderately thick, rounded neck shape, which is more common in guitars from the previous year, 1959.
The neck was in excellent condition upon arrival, and upon closer inspection, it was evident that the neck had been reset and subsequently oversprayed.
It can be seen that a shim is placed at the end of the fretboard, and only that area is overpainted.
It's likely that the pickguard has also been reattached.
However, the sunburst color on the body has faded nicely, giving it a bright look and a distinct vintage feel.
The jacaranda bridge has been over-lacquered.
The bridge plate has been replaced with one of the same shape, indicating that the neck and body have been meticulously maintained.
After the guitar arrived at our store, we repaired/reinforced the crack located on the upper left side of the pickguard.
This 1960 J-200 has a fat neck and produces a wonderful sound. It must have been cherished by the players and craftsmen who maintained it over the years. It's in excellent condition.

The neck and woodwork have been inspected and adjusted by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman, and all parts are in excellent condition.
Furthermore, the neck has been straightened to eliminate buzzing and dead spots, and the string height at the 12th fret is set to an optimal state of approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side.
There's still about 5mm to 6mm of saddle height left, so there's plenty of room to adjust.
