Gibson / 1955 J-45
Comment from the person in charge: Inoue

The Gibson J-45, a legendary model that represents the brand, was introduced in 1942.
A round-shouldered body shape, made of spruce and mahogany.RecruitThe body has a crisp yet deep bass sound that is perfectly suited for vocal music.
The J-45 is also known as "The Workhorse," a name given to this versatile guitar that excels not only on stage but also in recording and street performances.
- From small pickguard to large pickguard

Speaking of the J-45 from 1955, from its introduction...RecruitThis is the year the small pickguard was changed to a large pickguard.
The sunburst color and thin tortoiseshell pickguard enhance its cool look.
- Scalloped X-bracing
Scalloped X-bracingRecruitIt is being done.
Since the transition to non-scalloped X-bracing began around this year, the combination of a large pickguard and scalloped X-bracing is a specification that symbolizes 1955.

- Round shoulder body

The top is made of Sitka spruce and finished in a two-tone brown sunburst color.
The binding has aged to an amber color, and combined with the weather checking, it enhances the vintage feel.
- Rosetta

The rosette surrounding the soundhole is wrapped in white/black/white celluloid, a design commonly known as a "one-ring" style.
This specification was in use until around 1962.RecruitIt will be done.
-Bridge

The route was changed to Upper Belly Bridge around 1949.
Around 1953, the specifications changed from a long saddle to a short saddle, transforming it into the classic, iconic model.
- Fingerboard

The fretboard, made of dark rosewood, has dot position markers.RecruitIt is being done.
- Mahogany that produces the J-45 sound

The sides and back are made of mahogany.
The beautiful pores suggest that high-quality wood was used.
This is one of the factors that produces the warm yet crisp and clear sound characteristic of the J-45.
- Thick neck

The mahogany neck has a neck shape with just the right thickness.
I didn't find it difficult to grip, and it provided a comfortable grip even during fast chord changes in passages.
The paint on the neck has peeled off due to years of use, but it appears to have been re-lacquered, possibly to prevent further peeling.
- Headstock

The gently widening headstock features the Gibson silkscreen logo.Recruit。
A distinctive feature is that the truss rod cover is mounted 5 cm higher than usual.
Even among vehicles manufactured in the same year, 1955, some have the truss rod cover positioned lower.
- Tuning Machine

The tuners have been replaced from single-line 3-in-line pegs with the KLUSON DELUXE engraving to single-line pegs without the engraving.
