G&L is a brand founded in 1980 by Leo Fender and George Fullerton. Leo Fender, the father of the electric guitarBass, is the maker who, at the very end of his career, poured his technology and experience into it.
After Leo Fender developed the PrecisionBass, JazzBass, Music Man, and StingRay, and brought thisBass to the world, you can see how much of his accumulated experience is reflected in this sound.
This instrument is a USA-made L-2000. The body and neck are ash, and the fingerboard is maple. It features a 2-pickup system capable of handling every kind of musical style, with controls consisting of Vol / Treble Cut / Bass Cut, a pickup selector switch, a series/parallel switch, and three mini switches for passive / active / treble boost. With the EQ wide open, it has a flat setting, and it can also be used in passive mode.
Its defining trait is the clear, fast-response sound that serves as the foundation, which can be made even thicker through series connection, or tightened with output from only the rear pickup, allowing for extremely aggressive sound-making. It is aBass that conveys elements suitable for PrecisionBass, JazzBass, and StingRay, while offering a wide range of performance possibilities and a high level of expressiveness!
