Phantom booster unit with fuzz function, produced from 1972 to 1975!
This model was manufactured by All-Test, a subcontractor of Maestro, in the early 1970's. It is capable of 4-band or full-range boosting of BASS, MID, UPPER MID, and TREBLE. In addition, it is equipped with a fuzz function. The amount of boost and fuzz distortion is fixed only by the ON/OFF switch, and the final output is controlled by the VOLUME (which works even when all switches are OFF). 18V specification with two 006P square batteries. Although it only boosts the preset frequency range or the entire range, it produces a fat sound that is unique to this unit. The fuzz provides a distortion closer to overdrive with a somewhat crisp and dry texture, and the guitar's volume can be adjusted to create a very distinctive sound. It was often used by keyboardists such as Jan Hammer, who is known for his work with Jeff Beck and Al Di Meola. The specifications are difficult to understand in this day and age, but the mere existence of this model makes it quite valuable. The original box, manual, etc. are included.
There is a possibility of battery snap replacement.
The switch has a very special structure, so there is some noise when switching.
The POWER BOOSTER switch is slightly stuck in the OFF position, so please be careful when handling it. (Operation is normal.)
