The Terry-1 is a limited-edition anniversary model released by Fender Japan to commemorate the 30th anniversary of “Takeshi Terauchi & Blue Jeans,” which was formed in 1962.
Crafted by the Custom Edition team—which produced Fender Japan’s top-of-the-line models at the time—this masterpiece embodies the pinnacle of Fender Japan’s technical expertise and brings Mr. Takeshi Terauchi’s ideas and meticulous attention to detail to life. Featuring a commemorative plaque on the headstock and inlays on the fingerboard shaped like the word “TERRY,” this instrument boasts luxurious specifications befitting an anniversary model.
Although the pickguard and rear pickup have been replaced, the Terry-1’s charm remains intact!
The controls have been replaced, and the push/pull function on the volume pot allows you to select the coil for the rear pickup—you can even achieve a surf sound depending on how you adjust the controls!
