This is the third model, featuring the op-amp specifications from around 1977!
In the very early third-generation models from the first half of 1977—a transitional period from the second-generation Rams Head—discrete components and an ON-OFF switch were used. However, from the latter half of 1977 through around 1979, operational amplifier ICs were introduced into the circuitry, and a TONE-BYPASS switch replaced the ON-OFF switch.Model numbers include the EH-3003, carried over from the Rams Head era, and the EH-1322, specific to the third generation. Around 1980, the model changed to the EH-3034, which reverted to a discrete circuit. At the same time, the knob shape shifted from the chicken head style to a round type. Although it is a fuzz pedal, it also delivers distortion-like distortion. The crisp, compressed attack is quintessentially fuzz. The TONE control is adjustable from low-pass to high-pass, allowing you to set the tone from a crisp, bright sound to a boomy tone with strong lows. Needless to say, the sound is outstanding! When it comes to thick, powerful fuzz sound, this is the model to choose.
