The moment I first held this guitar, I couldn’t help but gasp in awe.
The gleaming block inlays on the fingerboard, the delicate inlay patterns surrounding the rosette and body, and the magnificent shimmer of the tiger-striped grain on the sides and back.
The YAMAHA Dynamic Guitar No.80 is the most luxurious model of the Dynamic Guitar series—the origin of Japanese-made acoustic guitars, born in the early 1960s during the dawn of the Japanese acoustic guitar era.
And from this classical guitar-like appearance, the body shape and thickness were modified to produce even greater volume, leading to the completion of the acoustic guitar.
The top is made of spruce, while the sides and back feature maple with a magnificent tiger-striped grain.
The sound produced by this combination of woods combines tension and brightness with a deep transparency, evoking a granular texture reminiscent of resonating bells.
When you strum a chord, each string emerges with a three-dimensional presence, and when you pluck an arpeggio, each individual note seems to melt into the space.
The block inlays and delicate marquetry, exclusive to No. 80, convey the craftsman’s dedication to pursuing both sound and beauty, etched into every line and curve.
