BOSS DB-5 BOSS Driver

This is a BOSS DB-5 released in '78! In the DIST+EQ mode, it can deliver an incredibly awesome upper-octave sound.

It features three modes: EQ / ATTACK+EQ / DIST+EQ, DIST/ATTACK control, and EQ with five bands from 100Hz to 3KHz and adjustable overall gain of ±12dB. It also has two inputs: one for guitar and one for Bass. As with the Tycobrae Octavia, transistors are used in the circuit.
ATTACK emphasizes the attack of the picking, but if turned up too far, the octave overtone becomes more pronounced and takes on a metallic tone. In DIST+EQ mode, it can produce an incredibly amazing upper-octave fuzz. Spanning the full range from low register to high register, regardless of pick-up position and so on, a strong upper octave is mixed in, and thanks to BOSS's unique EQ, it freely changes the tone to show its presence, including sounds like a sharp, cutting tone and a ringing, resonant sound.
Because production numbers were extremely low, it rarely appeared on the market before.
A holder for a single 9V battery is included, but there is damage to it and it has been repaired with tape.
Overall, it shows signs of use, but it operates normally and is fully enjoyable.
