Explanation
Stunning, deep bass that belies its 32-inch size!
ATELIER Z established its signature sound through collaborations with artists. Since then, it has become a manufacturer beloved by countless artists for crafting instruments that directly reflect the sounds musicians demand.
This Beta5/32 model is based on the instrument used by bassist BOH, who performs with BABYMETAL’s backing band, among others.
Its most notable feature is the exceptional playability resulting from the combination of a 32-inch (medium scale) neck and a 24-fret configuration. Coupled with its compact body shape, it’s extremely maneuverable, allowing for smooth execution of rapid phrasing, slapping, and tapping techniques.
It masterfully overcomes the common concerns associated with medium-scale instruments—such as a “blurred contour” of the low B on the 5th string and a “lack of tension”—while firmly delivering the rich, fast-attacking tone unique to Atelier Z, along with a clear, punchy low end.
This 5-string model—a fusion of BOH’s meticulous attention to detail, honed on world-class stages, and Atelier craftsmanship—takes a player’s expressive capabilities to the absolute limit.
